BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. After more than a year of negotiations, T'way Air, a low-cost South Korean airline will, for the first time, launch direct flights from Seoul to Kyrgyzstan’s Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Trend reports via Kyrgyzstan’s Manas International Airport.

According to the airport, the launch of the flight is scheduled for June 11, 2023. The flights are expected to be carried out once a week.

Last fall, the Kyrgyz Tourism Development Support Fund said that negotiations between the two countries were underway to open the flights that would operate twice a week.

So far, from the cities closest to Kyrgyzstan, there are direct flights to Seoul from Kazakhstan’s Almaty and Uzbekistan’s Tashkent.

T'way Air is a budget airline from South Korea that has its headquarters situated in Seoul. As of 2018, it ranked as the third most prominent low-cost carrier in the South Korean international market, with a total of 2.9 million domestic and 4.2 million international passengers carried.
