IMF updates on consumer price inflation in Kyrgyzstan in coming years

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects the consumer price inflation in Kyrgyzstan to stand at 11.3 percent in 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Regional Economic Outlook from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

At the same time, the economists of IMF expect the consumer price inflation in the country to decline to 7.8 percent in 2024.

Meanwhile, the IMF analytics estimated consumer price inflation in Kyrgyzstan at 13.9 percent in 2022, at 11.9 percent in 2021, and at 6.3 percent in 2020.

Furthermore, in its previous outlook, the IMF projected the inflation rate in Kyrgyzstan to stand at 10 percent in 2023, and at 6 percent in 2024 with decreasing to 4 percent in 2028.

In turn, the analytics of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) expects inflation in Kyrgyzstan to slow down to 12 percent in 2023 and to 8.6 percent in 2024.

As for the National bank of Kyrgyzstan, it expects inflation rate in the country to be within a range of between 10 and 12 percent in 2023.
