BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Kyrgyzstan imported from Germany goods for $76.033 million from January through March 2023, which is an increase of 4.8 times year-on-year, Trend reports.
The statistical data of the Kyrgyz state agency shows that imports amounted to $15.743 million in the same period of 2022.
In contrary, exports from Kyrgyzstan to Germany registered a drop of 52.9 percent year-on-year during the reporting period - from $3.457 million to $1.628 million.
Overall, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Germany amounted to $77.661 million in 1Q2023, increasing by 4 percent compared to $19.201 million in 1Q2022.
Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover made up $2.7 billion from January through March 2023, increasing by 25.4 percent compared to the same period of 2022 ($2.1 billion).
Exports exceeded $434.7 million, which is15 percent more compared to 1Q2022 ($376 million). While imports reached $2.2 billion, which is a 27-percent increase over $1.7 billion in the same months of 2022.
