BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 7. The export of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to China reached $3.2 million from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan indicates that exports during the first eight months of this year have already exceeded the figure for the entire year 2022, which was $1.8 million.
The majority of the exports consisted of unprocessed cotton fiber, totaling $1.1 million. Following that, there were alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at $726,800, tobacco and tobacco substitutes at $275,500, honey at $243,200, and fruits at $238,000. Additionally, exports of wool and animal hair amounted to $188,700, while finished grain and flour products totaled $142,000.
Simultaneously, Kyrgyzstan also exported to China finished meat and fish products, oilseeds, sugar, confectionery made from sugar, and products of animal origin.
The import of agricultural products from China to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $52.2 million from January through August 2023.
In total, the value of imports and exports of agricultural products between the countries reached $55.4 million from January through September 2023.
