BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 14. The export value of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to Russia totaled $61.6 million from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan indicates that among the main exported products, fruits accounted for the largest portion, totaling $23.8 million, followed by fish at $12.3 million, vegetables at $9 million, dairy and dairy products at $5 million, and prepared grain products at $5 million.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's import of agricultural products from Russia amounted to $251.5 million from January through August 2023. The total value of agricultural products trade between Kyrgyzstan and Russia for the reporting period amounted to $313 million.
The value of agricultural products trade between Kyrgyzstan and Russia for the entire year of 2022 reached $622.7 million.
Last year, Kyrgyzstan primarily exported fruits ($49 million) and vegetables ($29.4 million) to Russia. On the other hand, imports from Russia included animal fats and oils ($62.4 million), cereals ($57.3 million), and fish ($44.3 million).
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia amounted to $1.760 billion from January through August 2023, which accounted for 18.7 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total trade turnover.
The trade decreased by 18 percent compared to the same period of 2022.
