BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 15. Kyrgyzstan’s imports of agricultural products from Russia reached $251.5 million from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan shows that the main imports comprised cereals at $35.6 million, animal fats and oils at $28.8 million, prepared grain products at $28.3 million.
Imports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages amounted to $13.9 million, vegetables at $11.1 million, dairy and dairy products at $8.7 million, meat and meat products at $7.5 million, and coffee and tea at $4.3 million.
On the other hand, Kyrgyzstan's export value of agricultural products to Russia amounted to $61.6 million between January and August 2023. The total value of agricultural products traded between Kyrgyzstan and Russia during this period summed up to $313 million.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia amounted to $1.76 billion from January through August 2023, which accounted for 18.7 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total trade turnover. The trade decreased by 18 percent compared to the same period of 2022.
