The Technopolis Group Austria has offered Tajikistan assistance with tackling the intellectual property (IP) problem at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Tajikistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) reports, Asia-Plus reported.

On Monday September 12, CCI head Sharif Said met here with Mr. Alfred Radauer, Senior Consultant, Technopolis Group Austria. The CCI press center reports Technopolis Group is a partner for implementation of the project, IP Services Provided to SMEs for Supporting Innovations and Market.

In the course of the talks, Mr. Radauer reportedly noted that the main purpose of the visit was for him to determine what kind of services could be provided in Tajikistan for tackling the IP problems at SMEs.

Besides, Technopolis Group also proposes to determine local organization that would deal with introduction of the project here. Radauer stressed that promotion of trademarks was an important theme, the source added.

Founded in 2000, Technopolis Group, with headquarters in Vienna, works closely with national, international and regional organisations in the fields of science, innovation and technology policy. The team has specialized skills and experience in policy design and strategy development as well as of policy evaluation, both of programs and institutions.
