BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 21. The total assets of credit institutions of Tajikistan as of June 30, 2022, increased mainly due to the loan portfolio, Trend reports citing the National Bank of Tajikistan.
"The assets of credit institutions of Tajikistan as of June 30, 2022, amounted to 25.2 billion somoni ($2.4 billion), which is an increase of 15.4 percent compared to the same date in 2021, while the total balance of deposits amounted to 11.5 billion somoni ($1.1 billion)," the Bank reported.
According to the National Bank, in the structure of total balances of deposits, the share of deposits in national currency was 58.5 percent and in foreign currency - 41.5 percent.
Meanwhile, in Tajikistan, there are currently operating 62 credit institutions, including 14 banks, 1 Islamic bank, 18 microcredit deposit organizations, etc.
