BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 27. Uzbekistan’s large enterprises have produced some 190,800 lead batteries from January through February 2023, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the statistics, this figure increased by 67.07 percent, compared to the same period in 2022 (114,200 batteries).
Overall, Uzbekistan in the reporting period manufactured industrial products worth 72.8 trillion soums ($6.3 billion), increasing by 9.1 percent, compared to the same period in 2022 (66.7 trillion soums, or $5.8 billion).
Besides lead batteries, the country’s industrial enterprises produced cars (23,949), automobile engines (21,402), trucks (350), buses (114), tractors (7), refrigerators (65,200), as well as some 1,536 tons of paints and polishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers in an aqueous medium, some 890,600 tons of Portland cement, 110,700 tons of diesel fuel, etc.
In 2022, Uzbekistan produced some 920,100 lead batteries, which is an increase of 21.1 percent year-on-year (759,700 batteries in 2021).
Meanwhile, in 2022, Uzbek enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 551.1 trillion soums ($48.4 billion), which is 5.2 percent more than in 2021.
