BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states increased by 18.2 percent year-over-year, reaching $3.75 billion from January through March 2023, Trend reports, citing Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
Uzbek exports amounted to $1.11 billion, which is an increase of 20.4 percent, while imports increased by 17.3 percent, reaching $2.64 billion.
Uzbek statistics say that among the EAEU member states, Russia remains Uzbekistan’s top trade partner, with 15.1 percent of the total trade. Uzbek exports to Russia increased to $2.23 billion from $1.86 billion a year earlier.

In 2022, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached $15.7 billion. Exports from Uzbekistan to the EAEU countries in this period amounted to $5.5 billion, while imports – were $10.1 billion.
Uzbekistan's overall trade turnover during the first quarter of 2023 amounted to $14.77 billion – an increase of 11.9 percent, compared to the same period last year ($13.20 billion).
