BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Two additional gas metering stations will be built in Uzbekistan by October 1, 2024, Trend reports with reference to the Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
These stations will be built within the framework of the decree adopted by the President of Uzbekistan "On measures to radically improve the management system of the fuel and energy industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
According to the document, by July 1, 2023, electronic online meters will be installed at all natural gas reception and transmission points, which will be integrated with the information systems of tax authorities.
Furthermore, for companies transporting natural gas from Uzbekistan via pipelines, from October 1, 2023, it is mandatory to install chromatographs and electronic meters at gas reception and transmission points.
Meanwhile, a gas measuring station is a complex of technological equipment, facilities and systems for continuous measurement of the flow rate and, if necessary, quality indicators of natural gas transported through main gas pipelines.
