Ninety one large industrial and mining projects have come on stream over the 43-month period from September 2005 to March 2009, generating more than 37,000 jobs.
These projects cost an estimated 178 trillion rials (some $17 billion), IRNA reported, according to a report by the Ministry of Industries and Mines.
The projects were mainly in the steel, cement, and automotive industries, the report said.
