NATO should pay compensation to Libyans, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said Wednesday, ISNA reported.
"The US and its supporters do not have a right perception on regional developments and put double pressure on people who are staging uprisings inside the region," he said.
As to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) military measures in Libya, Firouzabadi added, "The US, Europe and NATO members have destroyed the country's infrastructures and killed many of its innocent people under the excuse of confronting Muammar Gaddafi. So they should be seriously reprimanded by the people of the region and the world."
"NATO should at least offer apology to Libyan people and pay compensation to them," he continued.
