Iran establishing nuclear radiation center

A land plot was allotted to establish a nuclear radiation center in Gachsaran county of Iran’s south-western Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iranian MP Gulamreza Tajgardun said.
Tajgardun made the remark at the meeting dedicated to the establishment of the nuclear radiation center in Gachsaran county, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
“Some 500 billion rials (about $11.9 million) will be spent on the establishment of this center,” the Iranian MP added.
“The poor crop production is observed due to agricultural insect pests and as a result, the farmers' income decreases in Gachsaran county every year,” Tajgardun added.
"As a result of the creation of the nuclear radiation center, the profit of lemon producers will increase by hundreds of billions of rials (100 billion rials - about $2.3 million)," the Iranian MP said.
About 96,000 tons of agricultural products are cultivated in Gachsaran county of Iran’s south-western Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province annually.
Some 4,000 people are involved in agriculture in this county. About 126,000 people live in this county.
