A 36-year-old man has died of swine flu in Germany, a local government spokeswoman in the state of North Rhine- Westphalia said Wednesday, DPA reported.
The man, who had no pre-existing conditions, had died at the weekend, the spokeswoman said.
It is the third death in the past few days to be connected with the H1N1 virus.
A 6-year-old girl infected with swine flu died at the weekend in Cologne, as well as a 57-year-old man in Essen who was already suffering from a disease of the lungs.
