Russia carried out attacks on the terrorist group Islamic State in Raqqa, Syria, according to a source in the French government, RIA Novosti reported with reference to Reuters.
According to the statement, the attacks were launched on Nov. 17.
French newspaper Le Monde previously reported that the strikes were allegedly made via cruise missiles launched from Russian ships in the Mediterranean Sea on the morning of Nov. 17.
