BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. Turkey reduced steel exports to Azerbaijan in March 2022 by 15.9 percent (up to $290,000) compared to the same month in 2021, Trend reports via the Ministry of Trade of Turkey.
According to the ministry, Turkey exported steel to Azerbaijan in the amount of $28.7 million from January through March 2022, which is 19.1 percent more than in the same period in 2021.
Turkey exported $2.2 billion worth of steel to world markets in March 2022, 48.9 percent more than the same month in 2021.
"Turkey totally exported steel to world markets in the amount of $5.6 billion from January through March 2022, which is 51 percent more than the same period in 2021," ministry said.
Turkey exported steel worth $24.2 billion in total from March 2021 through March 2022.
Steel exports from Turkey to Azerbaijan increased by 8.7 percent (to $109.7 million) at the end of 2021, compared to 2020.
Turkey exported steel worth $22.3 billion to world markets last year.
