Sustained economic growth, improvement of the investment climate in Azerbaijan promotes the interest of foreign investors, deputy economic development Minister Niyazi Safarov told journalists after a meeting of business people of Azerbaijan and Andorra.
"Azerbaijan has been cooperating with more than 149 countries. Andorra is a partner of great interest to us due to the fact that Azerbaijan has become a country which itself invests in overseas economies," the deputy minister said.
He added that these kind of meetings and business forums are very important for the success of the Azerbaijani business people in foreign countries.
A memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion (AZPROMO) and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Andorra during the last business forum held in Baku.
The Andorran delegation includes about 30 representatives of business, operating in transport, logistics, tourism, banking, engineering, waste management and other industries. This is the first visit of business delegation of Andorra to Azerbaijan. It is headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra Gilbert Saboia Sunen.
