Four people were left under rubble in a building collapse in Mingachvir that took place at 15:30 on Thursday, regional EL TV channel reported.

Four people were left under rubble in a building collapse in Mingachvir that took place at 15:30 on Thursday, regional EL TV channel reported.

The tragic accident occurred at the Azerkabel plant on Heydar Aliyev Avenue. Part of the building collapsed suddenly during demolition of the auxiliary building, built in the courtyard of the plant in 1959.

As a result, four people were left under rubble, who were taken to the central hospital of Mingachevir.

One of those injured in currently under surgery, another is in the intensive care department. The other two victims are in a regular hospital room.

Investigation is underway at the scene.

Mingachevir city is located in the north-west of the country, 295 kilometers from Baku.
