President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Kandeh Yumkella, Azertag reported.
Recalling his visit to Azerbaijan, the UNIDO Director General touched upon globalization and spoke about the trends in industry, energy and other fields, as well as problems faced by mankind. Highlighting modern challenges Kandeh Yumkella spoke of unemployment problem in the world.
Stressing Azerbaijan`s economic development, President Ilham Aliyev underlined the decrease in the unemployment rate and creation of new jobs.
They exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNIDO.
