Iranian president Hassan Rouhani may visit Saudi Arabia. He is expected to attend the upcoming Hajj ceremony, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said, Trend reported citing ISNA News Agency.
According to Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, despite of speculations about that Hassan Rouhani was invited to the Hajj by Saudi Arabia, no official invitation has been sent so far.
He stressed that Saudi Arabia Is one of the important countries in the region: "Iran and Saudi Arabia are the key countries in the region and expansion of cooperation between the two countries can contribute to the settlement of several problems in the region and Islam world".
