One of the basic questions to be discussed at
the Baku summit will be the oil pipeline Odessa-Brody, which must transport Caspian
oil to the countries of Central Europe.
Some State Heads already gave their consent to participate at Baku energy summit. They include the Presidents of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, Poland Lekh Kachinskiy, Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Latvia Valdas
Zatlers, Romania Trojan Besesku and others.
The first energy summit place in May 2006 in the Polish city of Krakow, second - in November 2007 in the capital of Lithuania, the third - in May 2008 in Kiev.
