Azerbaijan, Ukraine agree to produce and develop new products

Today, the Azerbaijani and Ukrainian sides discussed cooperation in military-technical sphere, space technologies in Kiev, Yaqub Eyyubov, First Deputy Prime Minister, told media at a press conference during the eighth session of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Azerbaijani commission for economic cooperation.

Today, the Azerbaijani and Ukrainian sides discussed cooperation in military-technical sphere, space technologies in Kiev, Yaqub Eyyubov, First Deputy Prime Minister, told media at a press conference during the eighth session of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Azerbaijani commission for economic cooperation.

"Today, Kiev and Baku also agreed to produce and develop new products. Besides Ukraine and Azerbaijan, they will be used by other countries," Eyyubov said.

Andriy Klyuyev, First Deputy Prime Minister, said that the parties agreed to increase supplies of Azerbaijani oil to Ukraine.

He said that Ukraine and Azerbaijan increased turnover by 2,6 times for 2010 and managed to reach a pre-crisis level of turnover.

"Today, Baku and Kiev have agreed on cooperation in the energy sector, engineering, agricultural and cultural fields," Klyuyev said.

Klyuyev said that the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission will be held in Baku on May 8, 2011. He said that Ukraine and Azerbaijan develop a plan of long-term co-operation until 2015.
