Azerbaijan urges presidential candidates' reps to be attentive when collecting signatures
Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 14
Mazahir Panahov, chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC), has urged the authorized representatives of presidential candidates to be attentive when collecting signatures.
Speaking at the commission’s meeting on Feb. 14, Panahov said equal conditions for collection of signatures were created for all candidates.
“Signatures must be reliable for registration of candidates,” he noted.
Panahov also touched upon the issue of installing web cameras at polling stations.
He noted that the installation of web cameras in all districts of Azerbaijan will begin in the next few days.
Panahov said that on the election day, starting from 7:30 (GMT +4), the entire voting process will be broadcast online for everyone.
The presidential election in Azerbaijan will be held on April 11.
