Statements on freezing of the New Neighborhood Policy of the Council of Europe (CE) towards Azerbaijan are unsuccessful as without involvement of Baku the program is doomed to failure, the Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Turan Morali said on 15 October at the meeting with journalists,Trend reports
В"Рђzerbaijan is the strongest and most significant country in the South Caucasus and this move from Brussels will stop the program. I think Azerbaijan should not worry in this respect”, the Turkish diplomat noted.
Morali called “a big shame and attempts of blackmailing” such kind of decisions, reminding, that the European Commission took its own decision on the necessity to lift the economic blockade regime in regard to the Northern Cyprus.
В"We understand perfectly, where such initiatives come from”, the Ambassador noted stressing that Ankara appreciates highly the support displayed by Azerbaijan towards the Turkish Republic of the Northern Cyprus position.
