Chief of a Presidential Administration's Department: Those Who do not approve the Decisions of National TV and Radio Council May Appeal to Local or European Courts

No-one has the right to disobey and violate the law. The decision made toward ANS TV and Radio Company, Newspaper Azadlig, and Turan News Agency is quite grounded, and if anyone disagrees with these decisions, they may appeal to the Court, Ali Hassanov, Chief of the Social and Political Department of the Azerbaijan Presidential Administration, informed journalists today, Trend reports.

Commenting on the appeal of the Azerbaijan delegation to the President of the Country concerning the resumption of the broadcasting of ANS TV Channel, the Chief of the Presidential Administration's Department pointed out that the authorities had the right to make political decisions on any issues, and it was correct in that the President was responsible for what was happening in the country, however, there were some issues that did not make it possible for political commentaries.

According to Mr., Hassanov, the activity of TV and Radio Companies broadcasting in the country is regulated by the National TV and Radio Council, and observing decisions made by this organization is a must. Even the President has cannot interfere in the activity of the Council, to either cancel its decisions or to withdraw its members, he said.

According to Mr., Hassanov, those who are not satisfied with the decisions made by the Council may appeal either to a local or European court.
