Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 February / corr Trend S.Agayeva / The 90th jubilee of Gara Garayev, the great Azerbaijani composer, will be marked in France on 7 February at the concert hall of the Sorbonne University with a concert performance of the world's renowned Azerbaijani composer, Ambassador Eleonora Huseynova, Azerbaijan's permanent representative at UNESCO said in a telephone talk from Paris on 5 February.
The composer's famous musical compositions will be performed during the concert by Saida Zulfugarova, PhD student at the Sorbonne University, and by other French and Russian performers.
As well, an exhibition dedicated to Garayev's life and creative activities will be organized at the university with the assistance of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ambassador said.
Garayev is an author of famous musical works, such as 'Seven Beauties', "Thunder Trap', 'Leyli and Mejnun', and 'Don Quixote'.
