Azerbaijanis World Congress Develops Project to Solve Georgian Azerbaijanis Problems

Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 August / Trend corr. J.Babayeva / World Congress of Azerbaijanis (WCA) has developed a project to solve problems of Azerbaijanis who reside in Georgia.

"The new proposals are expected to be announced during our next visit to Georgia," MP Sabir Rustamkhanli, WAC co-chairman, told Trend .

According to unofficial information, about 500,000 Azerbaijanis reside in Georgia particularly in the Kvemo-Kartli region (Borchali).

Two years ago, WAC representatives visited Georgia. "The problem of Georgian Azerbaijani cannot be solved through one visit and one project. Georgia based intellectuals, as well as the Azerbaijani Government and Diaspora organizations must render their assistance to them.

WCA representatives plan to visit Georgia in the end of the year.
