A traditional international conference of ombudsmen on human rights protection in emergencies will be held in Baku on June 18-20, the press office of the Ombudsman told Trend.

In connection with Human Rights Day, the 10th anniversary of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan's membership in UNESCO conference, organized with the support of UNESCO, will be attended by 56 foreign guests from 20 countries of Europe, Asia and America - Ombudsmen and their representatives, representatives of national human rights institutions, as well as famous scientists and international experts in the field of human rights.

Mexico, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Turkey will participate in the conference of ombudsmen for the first time.

In addition the conference will be attended by senior representatives of international and European institutions of ombudsmen and the representatives of the Asian Ombudsman Association.

Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Asian Ombudsman Association will be held for the first time in Baku.
