Elmira Suleymanova, the Azerbaijani Ombudsman, continues series of workshops in the Sabirabad region on right of choice, voting rules, rights and tasks of observers dedicated to the forthcoming parliamentary elections. The next workshop was organized in the Sabirabad region with participation of the chairmen of the constituency commissions, the representatives of the executive powers, the prosecutor offices, the courts, the police, the municipalities and the non-governmental organizations of the regions Saatli, Salyan, Imishli, Bilasuvar and
Kurdamir.
The Ombudsman spoke about necessity and importance of democratic elections, ensuring of free and active participation of electors, as well as explained the tasks of the bodies in holding of democratic and transparent elections. Suleymanova mentioned significance of provision of citizens with ID cards, establishment of equal conditions in conducting of pre-election campaign.
The Azerbaijani Ombudsman held similar workshops in Sumgayit, Guba, Jalilabad, Sumgayit, Absheron and Khizi.
