Trend S.Ilhamgizi / "Conducting a significant conference jointly with the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Baku testifies that Azerbaijan takes its worthy place in the world," said the Chairman of Caucasus Muslim Clerical Board, Sheikh Ul Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, stated on 26 April.
Organized by the OIC and Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, a 3-day conference will take place in Baku on the topic "Role of media in encouraging tolerance and mutual understanding". Pashazade said that this conference also assumes a political significance for Azerbaijan. According to, Sheikh Ul Islam, such important events are one of the tools to attract the attention of the international community on the realities about Azerbaijan, the occupation of its territories and the Armenian genocide against the Azeri people.
