Bu Jeyhun Alakbarov – Trend:

E-321 buses manufactured at the Ganja Automobile Plant in Azerbaijan’s Ganja city, after meeting the needs of the domestic market, can also be delivered to Turkey, Georgia and Central Asia, Press Secretary of the plant Magsad Rahimov told Trend.

The plant’s press secretary noted that three prototypes of these electric buses are already ready.

"The plant’s average monthly production capacity is 10-15 buses. Currently, there is no mass production. Only three prototypes of the electric bus have been developed. If in the future there is a great demand for electric buses, the Ganja Automobile Plant will be able to produce more buses," Rahimov stressed.

"Electric buses that can be used in cities and districts of Azerbaijan are assembled for order in the required dimensions and supplied with the necessary equipment. At the same time, the plant participates in all tenders and sends its proposals to the Baku Transport Agency (BTA), as well as to the Ganja Transport Department," he said.

"These electric buses can make a great contribution to our thriving, modernizing cities. As for the adaptation of electric buses to the cities and districts of Azerbaijan, both in Baku, Ganja and Sumgayit cities, and Absheron region, as well as in the country’s other cities and districts, all the necessary conditions for the effective operation of these electric buses are ensured. By order of the head of state, for the first time in the country, the ‘Green City’ project will be implemented in Ganja soon. We hope that the electric buses of the Ganja Automobile Plant will become part of this project," said the press secretary.
