Some 66,878 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) containers were transported by the railways of Azerbaijan in 10M2021, the subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC - ADY Container LLC told Trend.
According to the information, compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by 13 percent or 7,756 TEU-containers.
In addition, the ADY Container said that 20,360 TEU containers were transported by the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway during the reporting period, which exceeds the figure for 10M2020 by 104 percent.
It is noted that in the same period last year, 11,990 TEU containers were transported by BTK.
It was also emphasized that 30,000 TEU containers were transported along the East-West international transport corridor.
"This indicator increased by 41 percent, or 8,650 TEU-containers compared to the same indicator last year," ADY Container said.
