BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan will speed up the process of crossing the border with Russia at the Khanoba checkpoint, the press service of the SCC told Trend.
According to the press service, this checkpoint will increase the volume of transit cargo transportation and create favorable conditions for simplified and uninterrupted international trade after commissioning.
"In order to speed up the passage of goods and vehicles at customs checkpoints, customs inspection at them is carried out in a non-intrusive mode (checking cargo without the need to open or unload vehicles), using modern inspection systems,” the press service said.
“Besides, the SCC has created a risk management system, in particular, mechanisms of threats analysis, selection of forms of control and determination of more effective work methods. Thanks to this system, the analysis of customs risks ensure the rapid passage of goods through checkpoints," added the press service.
Construction work at the Khanoba customs post of the SCC’s Northern Territorial Main Customs Department began in 2020.
