BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. The stocks of meat and its products decreased in Azerbaijan as of early 2022, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 11,140 tons, down by 2,484 tons (18.23 percent) on annual basis.
Last year, 357,573 tons of meat products were manufactured in Azerbaijan, which is 11,562 tons (3.35 percent) more than in 2020.
The country imported 56,905 tons of meat (a decrease of 10.5 percent).
Of the total volume of meat products, given stocks, production and imports, 413,218 tons were directed to meet the needs of the population, 24,659 tons - for food production, and 739 tons were exported.
