BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12. Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee increased by 21.09 percent from January though June 2023 in comparison with the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
According to the State Customs Committee, income exceeded 3 billion manat (1.7 billion) during the reporting period.
Revenues from customs duties to the state budget increased by 20.43 percent (130.4 million manat or $76.7 million) and amounted to 768.7 million manat ($452.1 million) during the reporting period of 2023 compared to the same period last year.
Income from VAT amounted to 2.1 billion manat or $1.2 billion (an increase of 21.26 percent compared to the same period in 2022), from excise taxes - 97.3 million manat or $57.2 million (an increase of 39.25 percent), from road taxes – 23.9 million manat or $14.05 million (a decrease of 19.51 percent), during the reporting period.
Meanwhile, revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee increased by 30.21 percent up to 5.6 billion manat ($3.2 billion) in 2022 compared to 2021.
The State Customs Committee fulfilled the forecast for revenues to the state budget by 111.29 percent in 2021. The amount transferred to the state budget in excess of the forecast amounted to 440.3 million manat ($258.9 million).
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan transferred 4.3 billion manat ($2.5 billion) to the state budget in 2021, which is 10.3 percent more in comparison with 2020.
