BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. The money supply rate (2) increased in Azerbaijan by 5 billion manat ($3 billion), or 20 percent, as of August 1, 2023, year-on-year, from 26 billion manat ($15 billion) to 31 billion manat ($18 billion), Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the cash supply in circulation (M0) increased by 2.5 billion manat or $1.4 billion (21 percent) over the year, increasing from 12 billion manat ($7 billion) to 14 billion manat ($8 billion), while the broad money supply (M3) rose by 2.8 billion manat or $1.6 billion (7 percent) to 41 billion manat ($24 billion) against 38 billion manat ($22 billion) a year earlier.
The transaction money (M1) per year increased by 4 billion manat, or $2 billion (19 percent), growing from 22 billion manat ($13 billion) to 26 billion manat ($15 billion).
