Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 February / Trend / In 2007, the transport enterprises and individuals in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan (NAR), have transported 8.6mln tons of cargo and 47.3mln of passengers, the NAR permanent representation in Baku reported. The volume of cargo transportations increased by 7.1% and that of passenger transportations by 8.8%, as compared to 2006.
According to the State Statistical Committee, in 2007, the transport sector of Azerbaijan transported 167.3mln tons of the different cargos, an increase of 14.9% from 2006.
