Khouzestan Steel Company produced more than 303,000 tons in May, which is a record in monthly production, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Managing Director of Khouzestan Steel Company Abdolmajid Sharifi as saying.
Khouzestan Steel Company's monthly production has increased by 11 percent by producing more than 303,000 tons of steel and broke the record of 295,000 tons in February.
During first months of the solar year (end March 20, 2012) Khouzestan Steel Company pellets production increased by 28 percent and sponge iron production rate increased by 4.5 percent.
Khouzestan steel company is the second crude steel producer in Iran.
This company officially operated in 1987 as the first producer of Iron and steel in the country based on direct reduction method and electric-arc furnaces technology.
