Kazakhstan decreased ferroalloys export by 5.2 percent to 949.8 metric tons in January-September 2014 compared to the same period of 2013

Kazakhstan decreased ferroalloys export by 5.2 percent to 949.8 metric tons in January-September 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Statistics Committee under Kazakh Ministry of National Economy.

Export of ferroalloys in monetary terms amounted to $1.194 billion in the reporting period (7.2 percent decrease compared to Jan.-Sept. 2013).

Export of flat rolled ferrous metals (including tinplate) increased by 14.6 percent to 1.443 million metric tons in the reporting period. Flat rolled metals export in monetary terms increased by 7.2 percent to $918.3 million.

In the first nine months of 2014 Kazakhstan decreased export of refined copper and alloys by 39.5 percent to 186,100 metric tons (43.8 percent decrease in monetary terms to $1.238 billion). Raw aluminum export decreased by 24.2 percent to 142,700 metric tons in this period (24.3 percent fall in monetary terms to $275.6 million).
Raw zinc export rose by 2.2 percent to 217,700 metric tons (17.9 percent increase in monetary terms to $443.3 million).

Lead export increased by 39.9 percent to 80,300 metric tons (30.8 percent increase in monetary terms to $150.9 million).
In January-September 2014 Kazakhstan exported precious metals worth $508.2 million (40.4 fall). The Statistics Committee gave no data on the volume of precious metals export.
