A lot has been done to improve railways and subway systems in Iran's major cities, Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (RAI) Saeed Mohammadzadeh said, Trend reports via Iranian media.
Mohammadzadeh noted that important steps are being taken to develop Iran's railways.
He noted that according to a relevant law, $7.5 billion have been allocated for rail transportation.
Mohammadzadeh said the measures indicate a growth of interest in development of the country's railways.
