Ukraine’s Odessa Marine Engineering Bureau is already assisting Azerbaijan in training engineering personnel, Gennady Egorov, director general of the bureau, told Trend on Nov. 5.
"Young staff is being trained directly on the spot in the offices of Kaspmorniiproekt and the Caspian Marine Engineering Bureau in Baku, as well as in the office of the Marine Engineering Bureau in Odessa," the director general said.
Egorov emphasized that the during this period, younger members joined the team in Baku, under the leadership of Oyrad Abdullayev.
“The modern computer aided design (CAD) system for ships was mastered and actively applied,” the director general added. “At the same time, real design is also being carried out for foreign customers,” Egorov said.
Marine Engineering Bureau implements several major projects in Azerbaijan jointly with Baku Shipyard LLC and the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) such as the construction of rail-car-passenger ferries for the Caspian lines of the CNF18C project and tankers transporting products and chemicals with a deadweight of 7,875 tons.
