Georgia reveals TOP 10 products exported to Japan

Trade turnover between Georgia and Japan is 33.7 percent down from January through September this year, amounting to $133.1 million (9 months of 2019 - $200.9 million), Trend reports via the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

According to Geostat, despite the decline in trade turnover, exports increased by 32.2 percent to $11.8 million (9 months of 2019 - $8.9 million ), while imports decreased by 36.8 percent to $121.1 million (9 months of 2019 - $192 million).

TOP 10 Products exported from Georgia to Japan are as follows:

1. Waste and scrap of precious metals - $4.6 million, 14.8 tons; increase - 70.9 percent
2. Crude aluminum - $2.3 million, 1,675.6 tons; decrease - 35.9 percent
3. Flour and pellets from meat, fish or crustaceans - $1.5 million, 1,006.2 tons
4. Natural grape wines - $798,500, 112,336 liters; growth - 24.1 percent;
5. New rubber pneumatic springs and tires - $703,300, 12,648 pieces; increase - 242.7 percent;
6. Ferroalloys - $690,800, 704.5 tons;
7. Cars - $500,300, 9 units, decrease - 56.5 percent;
8. Fruit and vegetable juices - $337,800, 242.7 tons; growth - 33.2 percent;
9. Copper waste and scrap - $248,100, 41.9 tons; growth - 36.2 percent;
10. Mineral and fresh water - $66,300, 138,234 liters; decrease - 58.7 percent.
Other goods - $15,200.
