Baherden Garment Factory located in Baherden etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal of Turkmenistan manufactured products worth 9.5 million Turkmen manat ($2.7 million), Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.
During this period, the company fulfilled mainly orders received from various ministries and departments for sewing workwear of different cuts and sizes, protective face masks, as well as mattresses, blankets, pillows and bed linen.
Turkmenistan currently exports more than 70 percent of textile products to foreign markets.
One of the textile exporters in Turkmenistan is the Ashgabat Textile Complex, which provides the country's domestic markets with textile products, producing a variety of export-oriented goods.
Turkmenistan's textile products are exported to more than 30 countries, including developed countries such as the US, Great Britain, France, Germany and Switzerland.
Turkmenistan annually grows more than one million tons of cotton, which serves as a raw material base for the development of the textile industry.
A significant part of Turkmenistan's products exported abroad are home textiles, sports and denim clothing. The textile industry of Turkmenistan includes more than 70 textile and clothing enterprises.
