Export of Turkmen goods in many categories continued to grow in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The volume of plastic products exported by Turkmenistan reached 3,927 tons in 2020, compared to 671.5 tons in 2019, which shows an increase of 4.8 times.
The export of Turkmen pipes, pipes, and hoses made of polymer plastics has significantly increased. From 2019 to 2020, the growth was 1.04 times. Last year, Turkmenistan sold 14,653 tons of related products abroad.
Also, in 2020, the volume of tomato exports increased to 37,750 tons.
The Turkmen government purposefully supported private agricultural producers, allocating preferential loans for the construction of greenhouses. In every region of the country, large greenhouses are functioning.
Thanks to the accelerated development of this sphere of agriculture, entrepreneurs have been able to grow more exotic types of fruits and vegetables in their greenhouses. For example, several large agricultural producers in Turkmenistan are already supplying large quantities of bananas to domestic markets.
Currently, the Turkmen business produces almost all categories of consumer goods. Entrepreneurs successfully compete with foreign manufacturers and quickly respond to market changes.
