Estonian Roksnet Solutions OÜ eyes e-gov't system creation in Turkmenistan

The Estonian Roksnet Solutions OÜ company proposed to create an "X-Road" system of e-government in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.

The proposal was put forward during an online meeting with representatives of the Turkmen Communications Agency of Turkmenistan.

The company also proposed to create a center for registration and approval of digital signatures of e-government and authentication.

In addition, it was suggested to sign a Memorandum of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation with Turkmen Communications Agency, the report says.

The company stated that the organization of a unified census system, integrated identification codes for serving legal entities and individuals, and solutions for organizing personal identification systems contributes to the development of the digital economy of Turkmenistan.

Earlier, transport and telecommunications, trade, science, and technology were identified as promising areas of partnership between Turkmenistan and Estonia.

Earlier, Estonian Reval Shipbuilding OU shipbuilding company built a tanker in Turkmenistan for the transportation of oil and oil products. The transaction cost totaled $10.8 million.

Turkmenistan is interested in attracting investments, developing the rail, road, sea, and air transport systems, logistics, tourism, as well as getting access to the Estonian market, where Turkmen producers could sell refining and petrochemical products, as well as other competitive goods.
