BAKU, Azerbaijan,August 6. Iran’s mineral extraction from the Anguran Zinc and Lead Mining Complex in the Zanjan Province (north-western Iran) increased by about 14 percent, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, 257,374 tons of minerals were extracted from the Anguran Zinc and Lead Mining Complex in 3 months.
Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 225,597 tons.
"Some 120,391 tons of minerals were sent to local companies from the Anguran Zinc and Lead Mining Complex for the reporting period, which is a decrease of 30 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year (171,775 tons)," the report said.
Furthermore, 102,549 tons of minerals were extracted from the mining complex in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022). The production increased by 2 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year (100,912 tons).
In the 3rd month, 29,678 tons of minerals were sent from the mining complex to local companies. This is 21 percent less than in the same month last Iranian year (37,338 tons).
