BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 16. Iran's exports of mining minerals and related products decreased by 6 percent in value and 1 percent in volume, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

In total, Iran exported about 25.6 million tons of mining minerals and related products worth about $6.67 billion in 7 months.

The 3 main mining products exported were steel, copper and aluminum.

During 7 months, Iran exported 5.6 million tons of raw steel and steel products worth $3.14 billion, which is a decrease of 23 percent in value and 9.6 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

In addition, about 148,000 tons of copper and related products worth $848 million were exported from the country within 7 months. This is a decrease of 15.1 percent in value and 2.1 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

As for aluminum and related products exports of Iran for 7 months, the exports of the mentioned products amounted to 61,000 tons worth $660 million. This is 69 percent more in value and 65.2 percent more in volume than in the same period last Iranian year.
