Over the October period, 63 taxpayers have been withdrawn from the VAT account (value added tax ). As of 1 November, the Azerbaijan Ministry of Taxes has withdrawn 4,900 taxes payers from the VAT account, Trend reports with reference to the same Ministry. Their names have been placed on the Ministry's website so as to ensure that anyone, including budget organizations and state enterprises, which have business dealings with them are not permitted to be invoiced by them. Financial sanctions will be applied to anyone, company or organization who contravenes this authority.
These measures are carried out to toughen the registration of VAT tax payers and to combat tax violations.
