SOCAR Publicizes Oil Export for January to September

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), in the period January to September, exported 5.808mln tons of its own oil, the Marketing and Economic Operations Department of SOCAR stated on 2 October.

Over this period, SOCAR exported 901,224 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline. From January to August, oil was not exported via the Baku-Supsa pipeline due to repairs being made to the pipeline.

Some 221,258 tons of oil was exported via rail to the Georgian port of Batumi.

From January to August, SOCAR exported 4.685mln tons of oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.

In 2006, SOCAR transported 1.172mln tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, 1.155mln tons via Baku-Supsa, 1.135mln tons via rail to Batumi and 1.402mln tons via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (export via this pipeline commenced in May 2006).
